Born in Chicago, Ill and raised in Cincinnati, Chris played 4 yrs of varsity tennis at Sycamore High School and was ranked in the Top 30 in the Midwest. He played for the University of Cincinnati for 1 year and 3 years at the University of Illinois, where he also received his Business Administration Degree. Chris has taught at Camargo since 2001 and has worked with several nationally-ranked Juniors and Division 1 College players.

Brian Siler has been a valued member of the Camargo Racquet Club teaching staff for 24 years and brings nearly three decades of coaching experience to the court. A Cincinnati native and Elder High School graduate, Brian continued his tennis career at Walsh University and the University of Cincinnati, competing at the collegiate level. Throughout his career, Brian has served as Tennis Director at both Madeira Swim & Tennis Club and Kenwood Swim & Tennis Club, while also teaching at Queen City Racquet Club, Indian Hill Swim Club, Hyde Park Country Club, and the Safe Passage Tennis Program in Carson, California. As both a player and coach, Brian has achieved success at every level. He was a two-time NAIA National Qualifier at Walsh University and has coached numerous nationally ranked junior players while helping many athletes earn opportunities to play college tennis. His passion for player development, combined with his decades of experience, makes him a trusted coach for juniors and adults alike.

Camargo Racquet Club welcomes TJ Scheve to our professional staff as the Junior Program Director! He is USPTA certified and has 25 years of teaching experience. TJ was most recently the tennis director at Western Athletic Club.

Kelley Peter has been teaching tennis for more than 35 years and brings a wealth of experience to Camargo Racquet Club. A Cincinnati native and Seven Hills graduate, Kelley attended Vanderbilt University before beginning a distinguished teaching career at several of the area’s premier clubs, including Court Yard, Eastern Hills, Mercy Healthplex, Western Athletic Club, and Harper’s Point. In addition to tennis, he is also a certified pickleball instructor and is known for his engaging personality—even performing stand-up comedy. Kelley is passionate about creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere while helping players of all ages and abilities improve their game.

Jasen brings more than 30 years of teaching experience to Camargo Racquet Club. Throughout his career, he has served as Head Tennis Professional at several respected clubs, including Turpin Swim Club and Losantiville Country Club, while also spending 25 years teaching at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club. In addition to his role at Camargo, Jasen currently serves as the General Manager of Cincinnati Tennis Club. He is passionate about helping players of all ages and skill levels improve their game while creating a welcoming, positive environment both on and off the court.

Sara Watson brings 11 years of teaching experience to Camargo Racquet Club. A former collegiate tennis player at the University of West Georgia, Sara set the school’s all-time record for doubles wins during her college career. She has coached at several clubs and programs throughout Cincinnati and Atlanta and is PTR-certified for 10U tennis. Sara is passionate about helping players develop their skills and confidence on the court—and off the court, she’s the proud owner of a very fluffy Corgi!

Gabe Gilliland brings a strong foundation in player development to Camargo Racquet Club. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Gabe has taught at Eastern Hills and Cincinnati Tennis Club, and currently teaches at both Camargo Racquet Club and Mt. Lookout Swim and Tennis Club (summer). He enjoys working with players of all ages and abilities, helping them build confidence, develop sound fundamentals, and enjoy the game. Outside of the club, Gabe is also a freelance musician, bringing creativity and passion to everything he does.

Gabe Gilliland has taught at Camargo Racquet Club since 2025 after graduating from Xavier University while playing four years on their varsity tennis team.

Cambell Nakayama

Marmee went to The Ohio State University, where she held the #1 playing position from 1966-1969. She has been the State of Ohio Intercollegiate Champion and a semifinalist in the NCAA Doubles Championship. Marmee has worked at a variety of Tennis Clubs and Country Clubs from California to Columbus. Marmee has 48 years of teaching experience.

Joe has been teaching tennis for more than 25 years and has been a valued member of the Camargo Racquet Club staff for 14 years. An Ohio State graduate and USPTA-certified professional, Joe has shared his passion for the game at Park East, Cincinnati Sports Club, Kings High School, Madeira High School, and Wilmington College. In addition to coaching at Camargo, Joe leads Buddy Up Tennis Cincinnati, an organization dedicated to providing tennis opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome. Under his leadership, Buddy Up Cincinnati was recognized as Program of the Year in 2020. Joe is passionate about helping players of all ages grow their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

Ella has been part of the Camargo Racquet Club coaching staff for four years and brings six years of teaching experience to the court. A Cincinnati native and Seton High School graduate, Ella is currently continuing her education at Xavier University while sharing her passion for tennis with players of all ages and skill levels. In addition to coaching at Camargo, Ella has taught at Western Athletic Club, organizes and leads her own private clinics and lessons in Newport, Kentucky, and coaches members of the Seton High School tennis team. She enjoys helping players develop not only strong technical fundamentals but also the confidence and competitive mindset needed to succeed on the court.Ella holds a Great Base Tennis Certification and has experience teaching players from as young as two years old through adults in their sixties. Her enthusiasm, energy, and ability to connect with players of every age make her a favorite among juniors, beginners, and experienced players alike.
